International Parcel Delivery

When sending a parcel internationally even the most reliable couriers can encounter the occasional problem, from adverse weather conditions to flight delays. The most common type of delay when sending an international package outside of the EU is waiting for customs clearance. These are the likely reasons a parcel would be delayed in customs:

  1. Officials wish to verify the declaration you made on your customs paperwork
  2. Customs have applied duties and tax charges which are payable by the receiver
  3. There is additional paperwork which needs to be completed by the receiver before the courier can clear your shipment through customs.

The best way to avoid delays in customs clearance when sending an international package outside of the EU is to enter the recipient email address when you process the shipment from our website. If you do so we will email the recipient if any delay occurs and advise on the steps they need to take to resolve it.
